Stage Six - Tour Down Under 2024
The Client
White Marquee designing and constructing a premium viewing experience for the highly anticipated Stage Six of the Santos Tour Down Under on behalf of The South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC). As the race concluded at the stunning Mount Lofty, this setup needed to offer luxury, comfort, and prime views for VIP guests.
The Build
For Stage Six at Mount Lofty, we constructed a spectacular Soho Dome, strategically elevated on a raised platform to provide a 5m balcony at the front, ensuring guests had unobstructed views of the finish line. The Soho Dome featured striking glass gables, delivering both a modern aesthetic and panoramic views. The design extended to a large open deck area to the left-hand side of the structure, allowing for additional seating and lounge spaces, blending the indoors and outdoors seamlessly.
The Fitout
Stage Six featured our stunning Sonora range in Desert Sand, adding a sophisticated, natural touch to the outdoor seating areas. The Soho Dome was fully furnished with a curated selection of White Marquee’s latest offerings. The Bobby range took centre stage, providing sleek and modern seating for guests. Ellie Bars added to the luxe feel, offering a stylish spot for guests to enjoy refreshments. Additional elements included Pippa tables and stools, Bentwood chairs in beech, and our scalloped umbrellas to create shaded outdoor areas for guests to relax while soaking up the incredible atmosphere at the finish line.
The Event
Stage Six at Mount Lofty was the grand finale of the Santos Tour Down Under, with guests gathering in the luxurious Soho Dome to enjoy prime views of the race's conclusion. The elevated viewing platform provided an unrivalled vantage point, allowing attendees to take in every thrilling moment of the finish. The stunning setup, combined with the beautiful location, made this an unforgettable experience for all involved.
The Team
White Marquee worked closely with SATC to deliver this elevated experience. Additional support came from Next Stage, who assisted with staging, Boltz for electricals, and Sprout for catering and wait staff, ensuring the event ran smoothly from start to finish.
