Tasting Australia 2024

The Client
The 2024 Tasting Australia event, organized by the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC), was a showcase of the region’s finest food, wine, and culture. White Marquee played a key role in providing multiple structures and furniture across the Town Square in Victoria Square, the central hub of the event, as well as in locations throughout South Australia.

 

The Build
At the heart of Town Square, White Marquee constructed several key structures. A Soho Dome with glass gables and box-cladded weight covers served as the Masterclass Pavilion, offering an elegant yet functional space for tastings and demonstrations. The Soho Hall was the central feature of Town Square, housing various food and drink vendors in an inviting, open environment. The Soho House was transformed into the RAA Travel Lounge, providing a comfortable and stylish space for guests to relax.

In addition to these structures, three black P-Series marquees were used for activations within the square, offering versatile spaces for various activities. Sonora picnic tables were also featured as part of the outdoor setup, adding to the casual yet refined atmosphere. Throughout the event, White Marquee’s furniture and crockery were incorporated to enhance both style and functionality.

 

The Fitout
White Marquee’s furniture was a key element across the event, creating a cohesive yet dynamic environment. The Betty range, in a striking Veuve Yellow, was showcased in the RAA tent, while the Hoffmann and Pippa ranges were utilized in dining halls and other key areas, providing both elegance and comfort. Our Earth and Robert Gordon crockery collections were used to elevate the dining experience. Sonora picnic tables were a notable part of the outdoor areas, adding a relaxed yet sophisticated touch. Whilst a multitude of our furniture pieces were featured across the Town Square, other White Marquee items were seen in various locations throughout South Australia as part of the wider Tasting Australia event.

 

The Team
The success of Tasting Australia 2024 was made possible by the collaboration of several key suppliers. White Marquee worked closely with Matt from Venue Productions for lighting, Hygge for floral installations, and Boltz for electrical solutions. Village Gate provided signage, helping guide guests through the event, while Jo from Arne Studio and Jaz from In the Mood for Love captured the event’s highlights through stunning photography. Good Boy Events managed the hospitality side, ensuring a seamless experience for all attendees, while South Australian food and alcohol vendors provided the culinary and beverage offerings.
