Isabella & William
The Client
Isabella and William envisioned a dream wedding set in Isabella's family home in Gilberton. Their goal was to create a day that blended elegance, intimacy, and timeless charm, all set against the backdrop of the family’s beautiful garden.
The Build
To bring their vision to life, we constructed a 10x30m Soho House, featuring glass walling on two sides. One long side of the structure was intentionally left open, creating a seamless flow between the garden canapé area and the reception space. At the northern end, we removed the roof of the final bays and covered the area with a canopy of fairy lights, leaving the dance floor area exposed to the elements, creating an enchanting open-air experience. The walling in this section was also removed to allow for a natural connection to the bar and band area, further enhancing the indoor-outdoor feel. The structure was finished with Maple Oak floating floorboards, enhancing the overall ambiance and giving the space a polished, cohesive look.
The Fitout
The interior design was classic and elegant. Three long rows of tables were arranged, with the bridal table serving as the focal point at the centre of the room. A soft, neutral palette was created with almond bentwood chairs paired with eggshell French linen, evoking timeless sophistication. Table settings included white china, Riedel crystal glassware, and the Clarendon range, delivering an understated yet refined aesthetic.
The Charlotte coffee table, cake stand, and bar in almond were used for the cake-cutting moment and were later repurposed as a stylish late-night cheese board station, ensuring a cohesive look and seamless transitions throughout the event.
Outside, Sonora umbrellas and white Pippa bar tables extended the aesthetic of the reception, seamlessly connecting the outdoor space with the refined design of the interior.
The Event
The wedding unfolded flawlessly. With a perfect summer evening, the open-air dance floor under the stars provided a magical atmosphere for the couple and their guests to enjoy. The setup was further utilised the following day for a recovery lunch, where the Sonora umbrellas and cocktail furniture, combined with the almond dining chairs and tables, created a relaxed, comfortable vibe for a more informal celebration.
