Santos Tour Down Under

The Client
The South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) tasked White Marquee with providing premier event structures and furniture for the 2024 Santos Tour Down Under. The central hub for the event, the Tour Village, was located at Victoria Square and served as the heart of the festival, buzzing with excitement and fan engagement.

The Build
At the Tour Village, we constructed a series of multi-structures designed to cater to the large crowds and event activities. The standout structure was a large 35m-long white A-frame marquee, with all its walls open to create a welcoming space. This marquee served as the main event space, providing shelter and flow for guests throughout the event. Scattered across the square were various other pop-up structures, including three black P-series marquees used for activations, creating a visually dynamic setup across the area.

The Fitout
Furniture and styling for the Tour Village were a true showcase of White Marquee’s extensive range. Key pieces from the Bobby range were launched here, offering sleek, contemporary seating. Ellie Bars provided guests with stylish spaces to enjoy refreshments, while Pippa tables and stools, paired with Bentwood chairs in beech, created comfortable dining and lounging areas. Outdoors, our scalloped umbrellas offered shade around various tour stop points such as Salopian Inn.

The Event
The Tour Village was alive with energy throughout the event, as fans mingled, relaxed, and enjoyed the best of what the Santos Tour Down Under had to offer. The open space and beautifully designed furniture ensured a seamless experience for guests, allowing them to flow through the event, catch the action, and take in the atmosphere.

The Team
White Marquee was proud to work alongside SATC to bring the Tour Village to life. Cool Breeze provided cooling systems to ensure guest comfort during the event. Other key suppliers included Next Stage for staging, Boltz for electrical systems, and Sprout, who handled catering and wait staff.
